Rainbow Obby

An obby is an obstacle course, and Rainbow Obby is a big one. The goal is to reach the top: jump from platform to platform, clear each obstacle and keep climbing. Other players are on the course with you.

Modes change what you climb with. Classic has three worlds with hundreds of obstacles. Car mode brings ramps and jumps, Bike mode puts you on a motorbike, and there are stairs, troll, river, plane and cart modes as well; Poki's short description counts more than ten modes in all. In some modes other players troll you, so expect some interference on the way up.

The controls are two things: W A S D to walk and Space to jump. On hard levels, items such as jetpacks and springs help you get further.

• Start with Classic. It is the base course, with three worlds to work through before the other modes.

• Use jetpacks and springs on hard levels; Poki names them among the items that help there.

• Set your position before pressing Space. A moment spent lining up a jump often saves a long climb back.

• If you would rather climb in peace, check which mode you are in: in some modes other players are there to troll you.

• When one course stops being fun, switch modes. Car, bike, plane and cart modes give the same idea a different feel.

Players who enjoy platform jumping and do not mind sharing the course with others. The long list of modes suits anyone who gets restless on a single track.
